  • The UT Humanities Center will be offering a variety of free special programming for UT arts and humanities graduate students during the course of Spring Semester 2024.


    Grad Student Write on Site Days
    9-4 every Thursday through the semester

    Come study, read, or write while meeting other arts & humanities grad students. Snacks, coffee, & tea provided.

    Arts & Humanities Trivia Night
    March 28 from 5:30-7:30pm

    Test your humanities knowledge against fellow arts & humanities grads as you battle for prizes & honor.
    RSVP here for free dinner.

    Alt-Ac Career Panel Luncheon
    April 11 from noon-1pm

    Hear from a panel of former humanities grads who have found enriching alt-ac careers.
    RSVP here for a free lunch.

    Panelists:

    Lauren Whitnah (PhD Medieval Studies) — Research Manager and Associate Director at the Global Computing Laboratory (GCLab)

    Hannah Schmidt (MA Art History) — Research Development Manager in the Office of Research, Innovation, and Economic Development (ORIED) at UT

    Chris Kilgore (PhD English, MFA Creative Writing) — Associate Director for the Scholarship of Teaching & Learning at UT

    Katie Hodges-Kluck (PhD, MA History) — Communications & Marketing Coordinator, UT Humanities Center

    All events are free and open to UT graduate students in arts and humanities fields. Events will be held at the UT Humanities Center, located at 2230 Sutherland Ave. (Cherokee Mills, Ste. 223). Parking on site is free. Questions? Contact Michael Sutherlin.
