Denbo Director Amy Elias Selected for Penn State Outstanding Alumni Award

Dr. Amy Elias, director of Denbo Center for Humanities & the Arts, has been selected by Penn State to receive the 2026 Outstanding Alumni Award from the Humanities Institute. This award honors alumni who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, a significant impact in the humanities, and a lasting impression as a role model. The awards committee commended Dr. Elias’s experience as Denbo Center Director and as principal founder of the Association for the Study of the Arts of the Present (ASAP), noting her “professional journey stands as a remarkable testament to what can be achieved with an education grounded in the liberal arts”. The award will be presented at Penn State on March 27.
