Prof. Mariani to Lecture on Italian Filmmaker Ozpetek, Tuesday April 18

"Ferzan Ozpetek’s Films: A Disoriented and Fragmented Universe." A lecture by Dr. Annachiara Mariani; Hodges 253, Tuesday April 18, 11:10 am. Ferzan Ozpetek is a contemporary Italian director of Turkish origin, whose films have gained international acclaim. Dr. Mariani, who has published on Ozpetek’s Saturn in Opposition (2007) and The Magnificent Haunting (2012), will give an overview of the common themes and topics that link together Ozpetek’s films and populate his universe.
