New Award for Honors Theses Combining STEM and MFLL Majors

The Department of Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures is pleased to announce a new award designed to encourage seniors to write an interdisciplinary honors thesis combining mastery of an MFLL concentration and at least one STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math). The competition is open to any student writing an honors thesis as part of an MFLL major and to any College Scholar whose individualized program of study and senior project include strong MFLL and STEM components. The STEM aspect of the thesis must be vouched for by at least one faculty member in the appropriate STEM field (for instance, as a member of the thesis committee). The award of $2,000 will be announced at MFLL’s annual spring awards ceremony in 2015. For further information please contact Dr. Adrian Del Caro, Head, MFLL
