The Philosophy Department is pleased to announce that Dr. Colin McQuillan will be joining the department as a lecturer next year

Dr. McQuillan completed his PhD at Emory in 2010 writing a dissertation on Kant's conception of critique with Rudolf Makreel. Karl Ameriks of Notre Dame was also on his committee. Dr. McQuillan earned his MA at Boston College and his BA at Loyola - Chicago. He spent last year coordinating the writing center at Emory and teaching at Oglethorpe. He works on Kant, the history of philosophy, aesthetics, social/political and continental philosophy. He has several articles and book chapters published or forthcoming. The most recent, "Agambens' Historical Fictions," is forthcoming in Philosophy Compass. Welcome Colin!
