Our Students4Humanities (S4H) program just might be your perfect fit!
S4H is an undergraduate student organization sponsored by the UT Humanities Center. The S4H program builds community and collegiality among undergraduate humanities students and supports excellence in undergraduate humanities research.
The UT Humanities Center provides meeting and event space for the S4H program. Members have access to Humanities Center funding for undergraduate research development and travel; lectures on timely topics; space for presentation practice; field trips on and off campus; workshops on proposal writing, undergraduate research, and public speaking; and cinema, theater, and book discussions that link humanities research and the creative arts.
To be eligible to join, you must
- be a full-time undergraduate student at the University of Tennessee
- have attended UT for at least one semester
- be a major or minor in at least one of the UTHC affiliated departments
- have and maintain excellent academic and disciplinary standing with the University and its affiliated programs.
To apply, fill out an application and send it to the S4H advisor c/o the Humanities Center (address below). The application will ask you to get an endorsement signature from a faculty member who can speak to your work and character.
