Italian Students Win EURECA Undergraduate Research Award

Five students supervised by Dr. Annachiara Mariani have won the EURECA Award, the highest distinction for undergraduate research at the University of Tennessee. The students completed a translation of the Italian novella "Mons Pagus: La Leggenda del Borgo" ("The Legend of the Medieval Town"). The award recipients are: Carla Whaley (left, pictured), Hrysoula Grammatikas (right, pictured), Margaret Stroud, Zoe Mazzu, and Aurora Parker. The students will present their translation in Roseto degli Abruzzi (Italy) on June 1st.
